Kinect is selling for £129.99 on play.co.uk and its not even out for another 3 months plus there seems to be a whole range of kinect 'games' that are as expensive as full 360 titles.
Joyride which was supposed to be a free arcade title is now also available as a wave your arms around in the air while I rob all the money from your wallet title.
Maybe I'm being a little hasty but mes thinking that kinect is only going to be good for 'waving' through the dashboard menus as the games that are due for release have a similar smell to all the family party games that you get on the Wii.
(You can move your head and the camera will move with you, improving fps... Er no)

I sold my wii and i am sure as hell not interested in kinect although it can be a good entertainment center for when you have company over.

The argument in favor of the price point is that it comes bundled with a game and you don't need to purchase a controller for a second player, like you do with the wii or with Playstation Move.
From what I understand, the first wave of first party kinect titles are going to be priced at $50, which is ten bucks less than usual.
That being said, I have no interest in kinect at all. It's not geared for "core" gamers like us. It's for casual players who fear the controller, and for families and stuff.

All they need is a kinect drinking game and Wack will go fork over all his cash to get. I can see it now. It tracks whether or not you have a drink in your hand. And requires you to drink when certain images come up. $50 + the price of kinect, and Wack will be shitting his pants in over-joyous (drunken) euphoria.

Idk im a core gamer but i also have a family, if i did buy it it would solely be used to play with my kids and when company's over.

Why are people so dumb that they don't understand what they're saying...? Understanding what one means and having it viewed in another perspective by somebody else is completely different. Just a tip, I would work on my own grammar before bitching about someone else's *On second thought, If Kinect were to go down in price and have some cool party games then maybe it'll be worth it. |
