why does the p.c version get so much more??? they have map creators, add ons 4 weapons , new zombies outfits!!!!!!!!! i could near act in l4d1 tho the feelin when u get removing a zombies head clean from its shoulders whilst watching its brains splatter all over the walls Smiley

I think valve would love to provide this stuff for the 360, but the big hangup is they STRONGLY prefer to give away add-ons for free and Microsoft will force VALVe to put a set price point on the content.

they cant force valve to put a price on them can they? the maps are fanmade

Custom-campaigns are not really a possibility. To get maps to run properly across all platforms takes a lot of technical knowledge about polygon counts and such.

A lot of community maps would run like garbage on the eksbawks is what I'm saying.

(But I still think we could have VALVe put some work into a few of the high caliber community maps and release them...)

And to witch: The only thing Microsoft actually requires you pay for is achievements. So assuming VALVe were to do a tiny bit of work on some high quality campaigns that already run well, they could definitely release them to the 360 for free.

But the work they'd have to put into it, and the hosting costs and all that involved with DLC... they'd probably still need to charge so they don't lose their ass on it.
